A career in care

A career for life

A job in care could be for you

A career in social care offers long-term employment prospects, with opportunity for promotion and progression as well as job security.

Adult social care is one of the few sectors where jobs are increasing, offering significant numbers of long-term career opportunities in the current job market. There's an estimated 1.49 million people working in social care, and by 2035 we'll need to fill around 580,000 more jobs.

Social care is about supporting people to maintain their independence, dignity and control. This includes providing personal and practical support to help people live their lives. For St Martins Care this takes place across our residential, nursing and learning disability care settings.

Being part of St Martins Care is rewarding and gives great satisfaction, but it requires professionalism, commitment, and a happy, positive outlook. In return we will provide you with an in-depth training programme, career progression, above minimum wage pay, discount scheme and a reward and recognition programme.

You do not have to have previous experience of working in care for our entry level roles as we provide a full induction and ongoing training programme but you do need to be caring, compassionate, kind, patient, reliable and honest.

Does this sound like you?

In your community there’s a job that you can do in our care homes to help others and improve their quality of life. If you like working with people, social care offers a wonderful opportunity that can turn into a rewarding, long-term career. We'd love to hear from you, apply today.

You will need an enhanced DBS to work in any care role but please do not let this put you off applying. We are really flexible when it comes to DBS requirements, we'll advise and help you every step of the way and we pay for it as well. Even if you have previous convictions you can still apply, in fact, we encourage applications from as diverse a range of people as possible.
