The residents were able to hold the animals and learn about their natural habitats, their diets and their life expectancy. The gentlemen from Crazy Creatures were really knowledgeable.

The python was the highlight of the show weighing a massive 10 stone and 12 foot long. At 10 years old she has plenty of growing to do, she can eat a full-sized deer in one meal. The residents enjoyed feeling the different textures of the different animals.

Studies show that pets can help to prevent feelings of isolation and loneliness but also provide that important motivation to complete daily activities. The health benefits that this can amount to for an elderly person are quite striking.
