Ken came to reside in Guisborough Manor in 2021 shortly followed by his wife Barbara.

Ken met Barbara at work in 1958 and asked her to a dance over the toffee machine and love blossomed. Ken and Barbara enjoyed ballroom dancing and had a flair for the Waltz. Ken Jnr came along and life was perfect. Holidays followed travelling all across Europe, what fun they had. They lived in Hull until they retired to Bridlington and, following the birth of their grandson Ben in 2003, they moved to Warrington to be doting grandparents.

Ken told us that he has had 60 years of love and happiness in his marriage to Barbara and knew from day 1 that Barbara was the girl for him .

Barbara said that she always loved him and still does ……

The King and Queen also marked the special occasion.
