Residents enjoyed looking at individual slides, listening to popular music of the time and chatting about their own life experiences and how things have changed in the local area. Residents discussed whether they thought changes where better or worse, most residents agreed that change is inevitable but they did miss the familiarity with the family GP, chatting to the local corner shop owner, and the neighbours over the garden fence, to name but a few.

Carole commented that she often went to the ballrooms on a weekend to let down her hair. Milly commented that she had enjoyed looking back of how things use to be and how much things have changed. Barbara commented that although people didn’t have much money back then, there was always food on the table and laughter in the family home.
