Chantelle, our senior, and Carmen, one of the carers, demonstrated our EAGLE cushion and the iStumble app. Management then gave reasoning behind why it’s helping with residents that fall and preventing them from going into hospital:

The iStumble app provides an algorithm to determine the appropriate course of action in the occurrence of a fall. It’s a developed app that provides care home staff with clear instructions on when to call for an ambulance or use aids and manual handling to lift residents from the floor. This is beneficial to residential homes who may not have clinical staff available as is the case with nursing homes.
