Barbara could not believe her ears when staff informed her Ken had returned home from the hospital. With her shoes in sports mode, and walking aid at the ready Barbara rushed to be at Ken's bed side. Tears in her eyes Barbara entered Ken's room, “I can’t believe it, I just cant believe it your back here, finally”. Staff questioned does absence make the heart grow fonder? Both Ken and Barbara extatically agreed. Barbara was pinching and touching Ken in disbelief he had returned home.

Barbara has become much closer to a group of ladies within the home during Ken's absence, however their company does not make up for having her partner and best friend missing.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, with these two embracing each other.

Ken was over the button moon to have Barbara back with him and be back at Guisborough Manor. Ken and Barbara really are loves young dream.
