Park View seniors and management have been working in partnership with NEAS (North East Ambulance Service) to train on using our newest piece of equipment to benefit the residents.

The Mangar Eagle Lifting Cushion is tailor-made for care homes, designed to both sit up and lift a fallen person, and aims to help people with their independence and dignity whilst protecting carers from back injury sustained through repetitive lifting. It is a recognised lifting aid strongly recommended by NHS facilities in the UK and is considered a unique manual handling aid for all professionals in a care setting.

Benefits of using the Eagle include versatility, a safe load of up to 220kg so it caters to the majority of residents, it’s supportive as it has a backrest which helps with sitting up, and it can be used in very confined spaces.
